| The Magic Flute by Mozart is one if his Mozart's most famous operas.
It consists of 2 Acts, and has around 21 sections. The Magic Flute
opens up with the overture which is very familiar to most Mozart fans.
This overture starts out with a happy, and very majestic introduction.
It is a slow introduction, then The Magic Flute starts to pick up with
the theme, which is in the major. The Magic Flute overture theme
starts out very energetic with great usage of all of the classical
instruments, such as the oboe and flute. It makes great usage of
the bassoon in bass needed areas. About halfway through, The Magic
Flute has a minor derivative of the original overture theme which was in
the major. This part is very classical style, and reminds me of a
fugue type style of Beethoven. This is also a very majestic style
sounding part, just in the minor. The Magic Flute then resolves
back into the major theme of the overture again. Again, this part
is very lively and majestic sounding. The ending of the overture
of The Magic Flute concludes in the major key, and perhaps this will be
an opera with a good ending? |
