Alexisonfire Biography

Alexisonfire from St. Catherines, Ontario are a great band who concentrate on great dynamics, wonderful guitar melodies and superb singing. Alexisonfire formed their band in the year of 2001. The band consists of George Pettit who is the singer, Wade MacNeil Dallas Green who play the guitar and sing, Chris Steele who plays the bass, Jesse Ingelevics who is the drummer.

After the band had formed, about three months later they had played their first concert and recorded a demo. The first recording of Alexisonfire sold over a thousand copies, even though it was a demo.

Alexisonfire wrote much material at a very fast pace, and they finally were able to release their own album on Distort Entertainment. This album gained much fame and recognition. Alexisonfire created a very unique and interesting musical combination by combining screams, guitar music, and vocals. The sound is supposedly made from their love of music, and it is because of their unique approach, Alexisonfire has had the wonderful opportunity to play with other diverse bands. In 2003, Alexisonfire released Pulmonary Archery. The band was nominated for Best Independent Video Music Video Awards.
