A lot of the bands and groups out there in this day and age are mainly men. Here we have a girl by the name of Aslyn which is truly a work of art that surpasses many people's talents out there. Aslyn was born in Gainesville, Florida and began studying classical piano when she was only seven years of age. Aslyn loved to perform and begged her family to take her places to compete, play and perform. She did this at weddings, churches, talent competitions....anything one could think of! After she graduated from high school, like many struggling artists of that age, Aslyn was forced to make a decision: should she pursue her dream or go off to college or something else?

Aslyn took a blind step forward and decided to follow her dream. In 2002, everything started to come together. Aslyn eventually went to Los Angeles to showcase for several labels. At Capitol Records in LA, she was asked to play her most recently written song, which at the time was "493-1023." After completely blowing them away, Capitol Records instantly signed Aslyn.

Aslyn's music is like no one's out there. She composed a lot of the music with her brother, who helped her write the song that got her the recording contract. "493-1023" was about loyalty betrayed and friendship forsaken. Her album entitled, "Lemon Love" debuted her into stardom. It was a very inspirational track.
