Armor For Sleep Biography

I live in New Jersey and I have not heard of many bands that became famous and at the same time originated from my home state.  I was one a mission to find one.  Armor for Sleep saved the day.  Armor for Sleep originated in Teaneck, New Jersey.  They were signed and contracted by Equal Vision Records to produce their album.  But what kind of band was Armor for Sleep?  They were an emocore band.  Now what is emocore?  Emocore music is music that is emotionally based.  So if one is to classify their music, what would they put it under?  Indie rock with a metaphorical style.

So, how did Armor for Sleep originate?  Did they have a lot of money to help them out to be successful and financially stable?  Of course..............not!  Lead singer Ben Jorgensen took the first initial steps to creating Armor for Sleep to be the band it is now.  He recorded the first songs of Armor for Sleep with ONLY $100!  How did he do this?  He saved money by playing all the instruments himself.  Later on he was helped by his band mates which he met in college.  The Armor for Sleep band consists of Jorgensen and bassist Anthony DiLonno, plus guitarist P.J. DeCicco and drummer Nash Breen, who are cousins.
