Vienna Symphonic Library

A competitor of EWQL Symphonic Orchestra is the Vienna Symphonic Library.  This high end library is a monster, intended for the extremely serious musician.  The Vienna Symphonic Library contains it all.  From strings, to brass, to woodwinds, there is a huge variety to choose from.  There are many articulations including staccato, arpeggios, glissandos, etc.

The Vienna Symphonic Orchestra is not cheap, and can consume up a lot of resources if you do not have the proper equipment.  The sounds of the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra are pretty decent as a whole.  The strings sound a bit on the synthy side, however if used in the right way, it can sound realistic.  The Vienna Symphonic Orchestra also contains woodwinds, and brass on top of the strings.  The woodwinds of the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra also sound a bit on the fake side, at least to my ear.  Again, you can get around this if used in the right way.  I would have to say that the brass sounds are the strengths of the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra.
